本州と九州に分布する。暖温帯域に広く分布するものと思われる。頭部は背面中央で刻紋が弱まる。触角第３節は3本の感覚錘を備える。主に常緑広葉樹林の堆葉層に生息する。食菌性。

This species is distributed in Honshu and Kyushu. It seems to be widely distributed in the warm temperate zone. The head is sculptured with polygonal reticulation, but the reticles are weak at the vertex. The antennal segment III has three sense cones. It mainly lives in the leaf-litter of evergreen broad-leaved forests. Fungus-feeder.
